A traditional diner serving comfort food.

Carolina's diner is a traditional diner, our kind of place. I went early in the morning, so they had a small staff and very few customers. I was immediately greeted and seated as soon as I entered the restaurant.

With a menu serving hand dipped milkshakes, omelettes, pancakes and all the regular breakfast items, the place is all about comfort food.

I had the country fried steak, no surprise there, but it wasn't very good. The dish seemed hand made (which was good) but the steak was essentially a breaded and fried thick hamburger patty and it just wasn't good. The most appealing part of country fried steak is the careful ratio of meat, breading, and gravy. This one was all beef flavor, I couldn't finish it.

As you can see from the image, the presentation was excellent and, honestly, the hash browns were perfect, absolutely perfect.
