A fancy breakfast place that just tries too hard. great presentation but Mediocre food.

Bistrology looks like an excellent restaurant on paper, but they really failed to deliver.
The restaurant is a small brick building with a seated area to the front right of the building. It looked comfortable there, but everyone's meals had to come through the front door (past everyone waiting for tables) and through some plants to the seating area. The hostess stand is out in front of the building.

We arrived at a busy time, so we expected to wait. We waited, and waited, and waited some more. After we saw a bunch of people arrive, wait for a while, then get seated, we started digging into our wait time with the hostess. It turns out that our table became available, but Anna never received the multitude of text messages they supposedly sent to let her know. We were standing right there and Anna's phone was working perfectly, but no notification of our table availability.
You would think that they would apply the very common approach of calling out the person's name if they didn't respond to the text messages, but apparently that's not something they do. They put us on the list for the next available table, and surprise, they called out Anna's name and we were seated.
The restaurant is high-end, with employees in uniform, beautiful decorations, and more as you can see from the following picture. They have an open kitchen, and while we waited for our meal it was fun to watch everyone scurrying around cooking food and making specialty drinks.

They seemed to make an extra effort to make everything fancy. This isn't the kind of place you'd go to for a simple meal (like we like), instead its an experience. For example, we saw several plates of pancakes with a mess of extra stuff on top like sauces, whipped cream, and, believe it or not, flowers. Again, its not a place you go to eat, its a place you go to have an experience.
The do make very interesting drinks, and the person making them was right up front in the kitchen so I could watch him closely. Anna ordered a coffee and for some bizarre reason, it came to the table with a bubble covering the top of the mug. I have no idea how or why they did this, but it was an... experience.

Our food was mediocre and I would never go back. it was expensive too. Anna ordered the garlic parmesan potatoes and when they arrived they had neither garlic nor parmesan.
We don't want an experience, we just want a simple, good, tasty breakfast. This wasn't it.
