My go to breakfast place in Telluride, a coffee shop with simple breakfast items and baked goods.

We've traveled to Telluride several times; but never for ski season. The first time was for a summer wedding and the other times were during the Telluride Blues and Brews festival.

The Butcher and The Baker is an early opening coffee shop on the main drag in Telluride. The place is usually full, so plan on waiting. There's some outdoor seating, along a narrow table bolted to the outside of the building. The last time I was there, they was an open lot next door where you can sit and eat.

They offer coffee, duh, as well as a small selection of cocktails. The have some traditional breakfast items (eggs and bacon), breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, and so on. My favorite is the Ham & Cheese croissant. Its a great place for simple breakfast fare and, as far as I know, the only early morning breakfast place open in town.

I'll go back, every time I'm in Telluride.
